Re: Kavinsky says, "No analog gear"

OT: Is that a MicroKorg in the photo of Vince Clark? Huh!

Thinking about it more, I seem to recall seeing one in the racks of his newest studio, though. Those things are everywhere!

Re: Waldorf Rocket?

Yeah, I like that. This and the Stylophone S2 (really!) are high on my list of want-to-play new synths. Funny how these little, cheap (relatively) instruments capture my attention. High fun factor, I guess, along with immediate gratification? Hmmm ...

Nice job, by the way, Ned. I can tell your hair is more respectable than AG's.

Re: Korg M500 Micro Preset

I had one for a long time - loads of fun! I think I paid $50 for mine. Kind of wish I hadn't sold it, but I tend to sell everything sooner or later! Work within its limitations and you'll have a ball. Push the limits on it (pedals, etc.) and you'll be thrilled. Enjoy!

Re: early Killing Joke, what synths?

Yep, but this was several records into it (the "Eighties" single was out), so they were already past some of the really raw stuff. My son is a big fan of their "European Superstate" single now - VERY different from "Wardance" ... but then again, not so much.

He had an Oberheim when I saw them back in the early '80's.

Pflosi - there are SOME advantages to getting old.

With that, Tekken, you can run your JP-8. Looking forward to your review, AG. I want to get my paws on one of these, too. Analog Suicide had a quickie demo of it on her site as well. Send it my way when you're done with it - you can tell them they needed a third opinion. :D Now go get that haircut, ...

^ Lies. I have it on good account Ashe would only have attempted to get you drunk so he could get his paws on the modular.

And get a haircut, Doty - you look like a girl. I don't donate money to the Moog Foundation so you can go 'round looking like that. Put a shirt 'n' tie on, too.
