Re: What a trade !

It doesn't matter what we think as long as it's something that you are happy with and helps you make music ;)

Re: Is the Polymoog Really as Unreliable as People Say?

If you find a working one there is no reason why you can't keep it working.

Re: New modular SEMblance by A Solutions... thoughts?

So looks like Analogue Solutions is coming out with a semi modular version of the semblance... looks really cool actually but.... http://www.analoguesolutions.com/ From what I remember if I'm correct from my old semblance is that there is no glide/portamento. I mean what the h**l? I hope I'm wrong,...

Re: Minimoog plays same note on third oscillator

A few people have taught me things along the way. I can fix a lot on my own, but I have some people who I can rely on to teach me some stuff if it gets complicated.

I would probably buy this from you if I wasn't selling things myself to fund a .com modular.

Re: Minimoog plays same note on third oscillator

Well if the tune knob isn't working than it's something else than the switch. If you were in the boston area I could fix it for you.

Re: Minimoog plays same note on third oscillator

if that switch isn't doing anything I would try flipping that switch numerous times and maybe use a *little* pressure. Sometimes those switches become a little flakey.

Although that might not explain the pitch bend wheel. Somehow the OSC 3 is not getting any CV.

Re: First encounter with a Prophet 5... slightly underwhelmed...

One of the things I love most about the P5 is how I can instantly get VERY Boards of Canada like tones out of it. Like this:

I have an entire bank of sounds that I programed that are just mellow weird sounds like that. I love it.

Re: Prophet 5 - DOWNGRADE - Impossible????

100% impossible. As mentioned, even the panel is different. The rear layout is different, you can't just remove CEM chips and drop in SSM chips either. The whole circuitry is different. They sound remarkably similar for how different they are...

Re: I have an interesting trade coming up...hopefully!

Well the average price of a P5 is about $1000 more than a P8 so what do you really need help with? Sounds like a no brainer to me.

Re: Why doesn’t the OB-8 get more love?

Oh and speaking of overlap, I meant mainly with a P5 Rev 3. If I found a working P5 Rev 2 and had money :) I would score it in a heartbeat. Just to have that sound. The difference in sound between a rev 2 and 3 is very minimal. In lots of sounds there is no difference. I would say the difference is...

Re: First encounter with a Prophet 5... slightly underwhelmed...

I absolutely adore the P5. I went through two of them (sold and reacquired) before I really understood how great and useful they truly are. I can get any sort of sound I want really. And no offense Nada, but the poly mod is way more than bell sounds (part of the reason OSC 2 has an LFO mode, so it d...
