Re: SCI Prophet 5 revision 2 and 3.
Hi Urge,
I'm using two Prophet 5's. No Prophet-10. I figured that wouldn't make it quite fair.

SCI Prophet 5 revision 2 and 3.
I made a clip of both Prophets. One is on the left and the other is on the right. I tried to match volume and settings as closely as possible so that the differences between the two were as minimal as possible*. Let's see who can guess which is on which channel. Have fun. To me that depends on the sequencer. Some can add a LOT of character. Some can add many nuances.Clavier wrote:My beef with sequencing is that it seems to take away from the nuance.

Re: Show Me the Difference Between a Moog and an ARP
Well, comparing the Mini to the 2600 is not really a proper comparison... the Odyssey was the Mini's competition. Oddly, Moog never really made anything to compete against the 2600. Wasn't the 2600 designed to compete with the Moog modulars? http://www.ikmultimedia.com/PressKit/samplemoog/SampledMo...

Re: oberheim 8 voice how much do you think it's worth?
well it also depends on what condition, any mods, etc. In great shape with two sequencers I'd probably also agree with 7-8,000

Thats not useless, That just means you always need to have 'record' on.tyrannosaurus mark wrote:I had a Nord Lead 2 that was broken that would make these wonderfully complex polysynth sounds. With varying crackles and stuff. It was really beautiful. But ultimately useless, because you could never reproduce the sounds
