mono.
You lose a lot of it's character that way. It sounds much better when used in stereo. That being said, if you feel it's time to move on go for it. It's not like you couldn't easily pick one up again if you end up missing it.

I have a black and gold 2800 and it's my favorite oddy I've ever played. Absolutely fantastic sounding. To me personally it didn't sound terribly minimoog like. Mine has a 4023 filter. There are some 2813's that have the wheel. That means the one you are looking at is an earlier-ish MK2.

As far as modulars go, the 100m is rather bland (in terms of features vs price). For the cost of a 100m you could get a newer modular with better specs. I find the SH-5 to be more interesting.

No offense, but you've been here for years now. You should know that this goes in the buyers guide section. That being said I'd choose a Sh-5 (which I did do)

Jees, if it was as easy as "selling a couple big synths and grabbing a 2600" I'd have done it a long time ago. But ARP's don't exactly grow on trees anymore. And even less so in Norway. I'm happy with my modular so far :) Got even better when I added a third VCO last week. Yes, here in the Northeas...

I have a Korg MS set up and was considering selling it and picking up a 2600 w/ARP sequencer in place of it before all this 2600 talk... That, in a roundabout fashion, is what I did! I sold my MS-20/MS-50 combination to fund a Synthesizers.com modular, added to it over time, and then sold it to buy...

Hate to ruin the hype but the MicroPreset is severly limited, way overpriced and has one of the worst keyboards I've ever had the mispleasure of playing. As for the comment about how great it sounds when fed through effects well you can achieve far better results feeding a cheap Casiotone through a...

I like the Micro, but REALLY like the Multimoog It's good to hear someone say that. Everyone always bashes the Multimoog for not sounding like other Moogs, and that irks me. The Multi seems like it is capable of a lot of cool sounds. Well it's sort of true. It does not sound like all the other moog...

key pressure? The keys are not pressure sensitive.. On the Teisco S-100P? Yes they are. I was saying the ODYSSEY does not have pressure sensitivity. People see "Licensed from ARP" on the back of the Teisco and assume that since they are both 2 oscillator mono's that the Teisco must be a Oddy clone ...

key pressure? The keys are not pressure sensitive.. Hm. I've not used one, but according to Pete Forrest's A-Z, the 100P has aftertouch. I read somewhere else that it's this circuit that was borrowed from ARP. the odyssey has no pressure sensitivity at all. Although look at the pitch bend pads and ...
