My only non-100% unit is the MKS-7, which has the usual problem.

And my Sennheiser headphones, which have developed a nasty imbalance.

Alot of work that guy did for very little change IMHO.
It's not that much work to pull out a valve and drop in a new one. I'm a little curious as to how much of a change you expected...

I use one as my main controller keyboard (a controller keyboard that takes a f***ing full minute to boot up...). I've got the DT-100 around in it's original box, but as you say, it's not terribly useful apart from making envelope editing slightly easier.

treat them well. keep them away from smoke, moisture, crazy temperature fluctuations and, of course, PETS. (sorry matrix and catsynth people) Ugh. Yes. When I was restoring my Prophet 2K after getting it I discovered cat hair everywhere inside it - even under the keyboard contact strip. That stuff ...

I have an RNC compressor by FMR audio and find it to be a poor choice for synths. As many people have discovered (myself included), it tends to distort/break-up lower frequencies. Yeah, it really doesn't like bassy stuff too much, and the SuperNice mode has too slow a response to be much use for th...

I once turned on my EA-1, and so help me god, it sounded GOOD! I ripped out the power cord in a panic and threw it into a thoughtfully placed bucket of holy water.

As others have said, with the prices of S3000XLs and the like, there's not much point in getting an S2000 anymore. They're still a great, clean-sounding sampler but save up for another couple days and you'll get the sound plus individual outs and a nice big screen. And for the love of god, track dow...

I nabbed a Prophet 2000 for $150 the other day. People just aren't interested in samplers it seems.

May it never change. :)

Aha! And they laughed at me when I said the D-10 was a useful synth!

Great demos (as always) Sealed. I might tack some more examples onto this thread later if I have time, there's a big range of useful tones to be had from the D-10/110.

I dunno mine is pretty damn loud and I just got used to it. Do much mixing, then? My window also rattles at night and there's bugger all I can do about that too. :P Jam a piece of cardboard between the offending parts. You honestly haven't tried that yet? Make sure your PC is getting enough air to ...
