Solaris (Edward Artemyev, 1972)

Artemyev's eerie sounding electro-acoustic score was recorded on the ancient ANS photoelectric synthesizer:

Re: Two more...

I believe Jack Nitzsche's soundtrack for "Performance" (1968) was the first use of the Moog modular in a movie. It also appears in the film (Mick Jagger plays with it briefly). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyP0dgNSqok Also there is also Gil Melle's soundtrack to "Andromeda Strain" (1971), which i...

Yes but neither the TO...

Hey Micke - since you have a direct contact with MM of Simple Minds, can you ask him the following two questions: 1. Instrument make and model of the synth stabs played during the chorus of Don't You Forget About Me. I would also like to know what he used for the single note likes during the verses...

nice! i would also add some of the stellar electronics in Donnie Darko , and stray to television for the evil, eerie warmth that is the opening to the 1980's Tales from the Darkside series, i think that was John Harrison, too. and also, the entire Wendy Carlos soundtrack to A Clockwork Orange , may...

Nope, it's most likely the Arp Odyssey (or possibly a Minimoog). Here's the gearlist for "Metamatic" (recorded at the end of 1979): Arp Odyssey Roland CR-78 Elka Rhapsody 610 MiniMoog Hammond B-3 Hohner Clavinet Upright piano (out of tune Pathway monster) Of these, the Odyssey is by far the most fea...

There are actually four CS-80's in the No One Driving video, however to the best of my knowledge John Foxx didn't record with one until later.
