I always wondered, what are those "wings" on the back of those synths for?

to wrap the power cord around, because apparently a detachable power cord was too high tech for the early eighties
but using dummy/demo units without power cords works fine for fotog shoots i guess >__<

At least the instrument seems to be reasonably sturdy.

Which is a good thing in my book.

That ARP Avatar flyer is really cool looking! Carpenter and Howarth used the ARP Avatar on some of their soundtracks.

Does anyone on this forum own an Avatar?

An invisible Pro-One, kinda like Wonder Woman's Jet.. The "Ear-Force Invisible Pro-One". That would have made for an interesting special edition model.

Why would anyone build another Mono Synth? And for only $745 at that!

How about finding this pair at a local garage sale..

"Prophet T8 and 600, need to sell, $500 for both or make me an offer! They are taking up space, and they are like really old.. The T stands for totally ancient, from some long dead company called Sequential Something or other. The company was started way back in the 70s by a guy named Smith, I think.. They were considered cool in their time, so s**t, $500 is a good deal. Come on man, help me out here! For only $500 bucks your musical work will be all play! I mean, I think they still mostly work anyway.."

"Oh and, if your still not convinced this is a good deal, there are these guys at a place called, Wino Country, that could probably fix anything that might be wrong with 'em.. Look, you get vintage, old but cool stuff, I reclaim some space, and for only a few hundred, and maybe a little help from the Winos, you'll be knocking out some analog goodness in no time! It's a win-win baby!"

A vintage synth maker who is not on the VSE list, Multivox! These synths are so rare they're not even listed on VSE!

They think I'd like playing with their knobs.. h**l, I'd be in for buying one each, of all three of those keyboards, if it got me a date with their spokesmodel. I am circling 707 on that reader service card now!

Who needs an ARP or Moog when you can play these while you look at Bree! :D

Kind of strange to emphasize their two biggest competitors in caps at the very start of the ad.

*wonders why we never heard of these anymore*

This thing was so cheap! I don't think I've ever managed a timpani sound on it though!

Wow, never seen that ad before. The MiniKorg 700 was my first synth, and that's a martian-timpani-sound.
Gotta try that.
