Re: Photos of your set-up / studio
Well here we go. I've never been an aficionado, more a journey(wo)man amateur performer. The synth gear had been gathering dust for many years but Covid lock-down gave me the excuse to clean it up, mend bust bits and play with it again. In the hiatus software support had come and gone but the web has developed some useful and interesting dusty corners with unmaintained pages about old kit; search engines have improved immensely too. Addition of a USB/MIDI cable and some voice editing software on the main PC (out of shot behind camera) plus old copies of NCH Mixpad and Wavepad on a Windows XP laptop (kept well away from the internet) gave me some new toys to play with. Now all I have to do is learn to make the sound from the speakers match the ideas in my head
Anyway, here's a picture of the vintage collection. Laptop at top,
+..then Peavey Line Mix 8
+....tucked away under that is the Yamaha WT11 and its associated BT7
+......below that we have a TX81Z (updated with the latest firmware - v1.6 IIRC)
+........that sits on a DIN patch panel allowing me to route MIDI where I want
+..........next to that is the WX11 which is my main instrument
+.............then we have the DX7 which after much practice during Covid I can now play to the same standard as I last could when I was 10
+................the amp and speakers come from a 1970s hifi setup
+...................and finally there is a Philip Reece MM5 foot controller

Some of these setups are really crazy! I'm really new here, just joined because I was interested in checking out the common creator's music instead of all the famous artists out there. It's really impressive to see!
