Re: 2015 NAMM
It seems like a few manufacturers didn't have things out and ready on press preview day, I'm talking DSI, Arturia (will they have anything at all?), Yamaha etc. I guess if it's not ready for press previews it's not gonna be ready to ship for a while.

...and SP = Spring, don't think it's just an fx unit though, I reckon they're the two fx slots on a new Tempest spinoff (they gave away that a couple of days ago).

Maybe it's a brand new item? Or a re-hash of the Tempest?
Seems kind of strange, since it's only been out for what? 2 years?
Hmm, I wonder when Roger Linn's LinnDrum II is coming?

My bet is keyboard version of the tempest, with a few tweaks here and there.hageir wrote:aha, right on!Stab Frenzy wrote:...and SP = Spring, don't think it's just an fx unit though, I reckon they're the two fx slots on a new Tempest spinoff (they gave away that a couple of days ago).

Ok...there is no reason at all for me to keep my Beatstep. This looks like it addresses all the gripes I had about the original.rob_lee wrote:ARTURIA Beatstep Pro
I like it. What I do wonder is how many sequences can be stored, and can it pattern chain, etc. This is a higher-tier product than the original, for sure. I'm pretty excited Arturia actually made a pro version. Pretty cool.

I'm definitely interested in this one. Never had the original but this takes my fancy.Walter Ego wrote:Ok...there is no reason at all for me to keep my Beatstep. This looks like it addresses all the gripes I had about the original.rob_lee wrote:ARTURIA Beatstep Pro

Re: 2015 NAMM
Step 1: make buggy and underfeatured product for real cheap.
Step 2: see what people are complaining about
Step 3: fix bugs and annoyances and call it a "pro version"
Step 4: profit?
This years NAMM is not only good for nice new products, but also on the sarcasm side of things

Seems like the KORG Monotron plan. Seems like it worked for them.pflosi wrote:Step 1: make buggy and underfeatured product for real cheap.
