Thank goodness we now know 40 years later
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

I never heard about it, but now I know what that empty void in my heart has always been. Thank you for this inner discovery.

I had the "blessing" of playing Wanee with Stevie "guitar" Miller a few years back. I had always wanted to ask him why he pushed the story that Les Paul was his guitar teacher when Les told me several times that Steve's dad was his accountant... and he bought him a guitar when he was a child as a gift, but never gave him any lessons.
Luckily, I was standing outside Plant's trailer having a conversation with Clive Deamer when good old Stevie "guitar" rudely interrupted our conversation and asked Clive repeatedly if he could get him on the trailer (this was after the security officer at the door gave him a very clear permission denied). I asked him about Les's guitar lessons and, obviously enough, I was not the first to ever ask him this because he completely lost his s**t. Miller then tried to have me removed from the hospitality area, quite unsuccessfully.
It was one of the highlights of my professional career.
