Today, March 8 is Gary Numan's 60th birthday. Happy birthday! Many of us here first got interested in synths thanks to Gary Numan.

I had the pleasure of catching his show last year in Portland. If anyone has the chance, it is not to be missed--amazing!

I saw him in Portland last year as well! I agree - he's worth seeing. And it was so cool to see how proud he was when his daughter Persia came out and sang backup on one of his new songs. I don't think I've seen Gary smile so much in the other 2 concerts of his that I've seen over the last 20 years.

I shall be seeing him in Portsmouth UK, on Monday (12 March).

Saw him first in 1979 and many many times since, always brilliant.

That Newman is spelled differently. I don't think that Newman uses synths.

It was a play on word with the Numan/Newman name...I was also going through a Seinfeld marathon at that moment

For those in the states who may have missed him the first time, he is doing a second Savage North American Tour. Just ordered my tickets to see him again in Portland Oct 3rd. Highly recommend!
