Although still listed at Novation's website, US mail order retailers all show the
Ultranova as a discontinued product. That was a good 8 year run.
The Mininova is still available.

My LCD went dead. I opened it to replace the filter encode which barely worked, and to get to any knobs on the panel, you need to remove 2 small ribbons that are glued down. It's not pretty, and I need to basically rewire it. Love the engine, not too happy with that design decision.

I always thought it was a shame that it was never Multi-Timbral.

My guess is that sales have dwindled since the JD-Xi came out as the JD-Xi raised the bar with 4 parts multi-timbrality and 129 voices.
Maybe Novation will bring out a successor that can compete with the JD-Xi?
That would be something to look forward to, they could integrate a cut down version of the bass station2 (since the JD-Xi has a mono analog part), a drums part, and double up the VA part.

On another Novation note, looks like the Circuit Mono Station (which is pretty much a bitimbral BS2) is already discontinued too, or no longer on Sweetwater. It was released on 2017. Very short run on that one! It was always on my scope too.

Looks like it is not available in the UK either. MiniNova is still available though.
