I have a modular unit that is inside a wooden box powered through a small hole in the back and I mistakenly left it powered on with the top cover closed. It was on for 5-6 hours enclosed in the box and was very very warm when I finally turned it off. How concerned should I be about damage? It seems fine but I thought I might as well ask.

Re: Overheating?
Does anything smell bad/burnt?
If not, it's probably fine - turn it on and check it out to be sure...

Re: Overheating?
Not trying to hijack the thread, but my DX7 has been getting quite warm in the middle section of the back panel when it's left on for more than a half hour. it is working just fine, but I do detect a slight electrical / ozone smell when it heats up. any ideas?

I'd open it up and see what's in that area first.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
