Can you help me ID this synth?

Hi there,

Going crazy trying to identify the source of the sounds on a bunch of late 80s/early 90s records I love. There's this cool percussion and this distinctive pitchbend on the sitar sample here on this INXS song at 17 seconds:



And some of the same sounds are on this, especially at 25 seconds in, that same pitch bend sitar thing:



I've been searching Proteus samples and stuff but haven't had any luck. Help appreciated

Not a synthesizer. Most likely a sample of a Sarangi

I would check out the Emax library for the INXS stuff, at least one of those Asian instruments is in there. I'm pretty sure they used a bit of Emax on that album, on the intro to 'Beautiful Girl' the piano with the duff note is definitely in my Emax library!

Definitely a sampler. Maybe an Emax or Emulator. I have an Emax II Kontakt library and it’s one of the presets in it.
