Programming footswitch for EMU Morpheus

I know this is probably lame but I'm having a tough time trying to figure out how to get CC66 Sostenuto to work in a Morpheus patch. If anyone out there has a Morpheus or Ultraproteus (I think they're pretty similar?), and knows how to do this I'd appreciate any help!

I can assign CC66 to FS3 in the Morpheus but when I then assign that to control "SUSTAIN", any CC66 commands act just like CC64, every note sustains even after pressing the pedal (with CC66, only the notes you are holding at the moment you press the pedal sustain, but any notes played after don't).
