Hello!
Anyone here know if there's an easy way to figure out what BPM's are assigned to the 808's tempo dial? Or an easy way to figure out the bpm of a beat you've just made on the machine? I come from the world of an Oberheim DX, where the BPM is displayed on board...
I've played with BPM tap devices (on apps and websites) and tapped out the tempo, but it feels like this number isn't necessarily precise...
thanks!

No, there is no way other without adding a fair amount of other gear. Welcome to the joys of vintage drum machines.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
