See pages 125 and 165 in the manual.

In most factory patches, Dynamic 1 on the front panel controls velocity response of the amplitude. Dynamic 2 controls velocity response for the filter.

Thanks! I'm a total newbie...how do you do the whole thing step by step like how do you first get to Dynamic 1 or Dynamic 2 ?

It's a knob on the front panel. Do you have the manual?

Push the button above the headphone jack until the bottom LED to the right of it lights up. Dynamic 1 and 2 are the first knobs on the left.

P.S. I don't even own one of these, I just read the manual

On page 165, there's only "instrument listing" listing 125 instrument which unless I'm wrong, is useless for anything related to " touch sensitivity" . On page 125, nowhere do they mention Dynamic 1 and Dynamic 2 . If you go at the end of the book to the index pages and search for " touch sensitivity" you find nothing. If you search for dynamic, you find "dynamic filters" ( page 71 ) and "dynamic range" ( page 182) but one is a technical specification and the other one is all about "filters". If you go to page 155 ( Appendix, front panel knob functions), there they show you the Dynamic 1 and Dynamic 2 button ( I guess you took page 165 for page 155 ? ) but they don't tell you how to use them. Seems ( another guy also did mention this) that turning the Dynamic 1 button should do the trick. Will try that. Thanks!

Turning to the left the Dynamic 1 button sure does improve things but...it alter the sound a bit and it's not completely out of touch sensitivity. Looking for a better option.

You wil lhave to go patch by patch, then. I didn't see anything in the manual suggesting that there is a global way to set velocity to be 0. There is no fixed velocity curve.

What is your controller keyboard? It's usually easy to set that for fixed velocity.

Good luck.

I have a Roland A37 MIDI controller and a Casio WK 3500 keyboard. I can easily set the touch sensitivity off using the Casio but no such luck with the Roland,

It's kind of curious...who would play synth patches with the " touch sensitivity" on ??? . I also got a cheap Yamaha 61 keys keyboard and to go from touch sensitive to full sound all you have to do is to press a dedicated button and you get full sound velocity right there. If it was that complicated/expensive to install such a button, Yamaha wouldn't have provide it for their cheap unit.

Who uses velocity? An awful lot of people, myself included. It makes playing the synth more expressive. Why do you think it's included in so many instruments.

Velocity need not control volume, it can be used to open the filter, change envelope settings, switch between sample layers, etc. depending on what the instrument supports.

You really need to read the manual.
1. Select a preset.
2. Press the Edit button to access the Edit menu.
3. Go to the Instrument page and select instruments for Layers 1 and 2.
4. Press Home/Enter and use the Data Entry Control to advance to the PatchCord page.
