Can you help me find this preset from Hunt for Red October & Film Music Presets

I am quite fond of this sound but am rather hopeless with synths.

its the high ringing sound (keys/bells/synth) with the quasi plate reverb

i also love this quasi conga here

score was circa 1989/90

any other famous film score presets would be wonderful

That sounds fairly like an Ensoniq EPS sampler with some orchestral disks and possibly synth ones overlaid on top, to me. They also came out at almost exactly around the time. It might probably be more likely the EPS rather than EPS16+ version, as the 16+ was released slightly later and probably just after the film.

If it is an EPS, those samples can be purchased through Digital Sound Factory in formats for Kontakt, SoundFonts, EXS24, Reason, etc. Contact them for more information.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Basil Poledouris was a genius and went too young. This doc has several clips of him in his studio back then, but the res is so poor, maybe someone with a really good eye could see what he's using. I think the lower one is an Emulator 2.

What a great interview ! Seems a fascinating guy. A bit Vangelis-like.

The overhead studio views at 5m10s+7m58s+34m32s are too distant to make out much, but perhaps a Roland D50 on top of the stack; a tiny glimpse at 8m06s looks like D50 graphics on the RHS (see first attachment). It was filmed in 1997 so they could be any 90s black monoliths. The bottom one looks quite pale so may be an EIII, but could be a II like you said, as I think I saw larger floppy disk boxes nearby.

The console at 6m11s+7m45s+8m08s is a Euphonix CS-2000 or 3000 or something.

40m47s an older studio with an old large format Soundcraft I think

I've attached another image from this video of the same Euphonix console with some Emulator behind:
