Hello, i would like to know if theres anyone here that could help me with a simple (i think) problem i have, so i got a bass station 2 and a behringer td3 and i would love to sync them, like when i play a pattern in one of them, probably it gotta be the td3 cause its a sequencer the other plays his own pattern but synched with the td3, i dont even know if this is possible with a bs2 as a master or something like that, if not can someone explain to me what would i need to get to synch them both.
I only got one midi cable plugged in td3 midi out port to bs2 midi in port, i've tried it vice versa too, same channel, the only thing i get is, bs2 playing the same pattern as td3 but with his own sound, and the thing i want was do a different pattern. Btw they are both connected to my interface via jack, i dont know if i need to get somemore midi cables. I dont know if i make myself clear, im sry for my english.

Re: Synths synchronization
Each synth needs to be on it's own MIDI channel or else when you play notes on one the same notes will play on the other.
Clocks and sequencer control messages are not channel based, so will work regardless of the channel you pick for each synth.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Thanks for your reply.
Do i need anymore gear like a drum machine or something else idk? Cus i already put them in different channels, connect them thru midi (both ways, td3 out to bs2 in and td3 in to bs2 out) but it still seams like they dont want to sync, i mean i think i can control the clock of both with the knob of just one (the one that got the midi out plugged in) but they're not note synchronized.

Also make sure the machines' MIDI settings are set to OMNI OFF. If they're still set to OMNI ON, then the machines will receive and play from data on ALL MIDI channels.

Re: Synths synchronization
I'm not sure if I understood you correctly, but it sounds like:
You want to play your BS2 and your TD3 together - each with its own sequencer pattern, but synced. Right?
You just need to set one of the machines as 'master' and the other one as 'slave' (Or did they rename this for political correctness in the meantime? If yes I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone.) for the clock. That should be explained in the respective manuals.
Program the sequences on each machine individually, connect them with a MIDI cable. Use the "MIDI out" jack of the 'master' and the "MIDI in" for the 'slave'.
Hit "start" on the 'master', and off you go.
Don't forget to TURN ON THE SYNTHESIZER. Often this is the reason why you get no sound out of it. - ARP 2600 manual, 1971
