Anyone using the MFB Step64?

I am also interested in this. It seems to be good value for the money... I wonder how it compares to an oldie such as the roland CSQ-600

Is the manual available online? MFB do not always seem to do everything they could to entice buyers or non-german speaking information seekers. I can sort of read german, and scan the german synth forums and haven't seen anyone reviewing it there yet

Perhaps you will be the first person in the world to get one!

Yeah, no manual... I'm not that picky. The think I like about it is simply that it has both midi and CV and has 64 steps, but can also be polyphonic.

Ha... i think this is the third thread on these in recent months (including my own a month ago or so), and as of yet, I have not seen one response from someone who has actually used one!

One thing I did find out from MFB is that midi and CV are ouput at the same time (useful for using both midi and CV gear at same time), BUT you cannot use it as a midi/cv converter. Also, you can switch the gate signal from +5v to +10v if you have a synth with a weird gate voltage such as the octave cat.

considering how much MAQ 16/3s cost, this has to be the most cost effective multi-channel step sequencer on the market..

If you think +10 is weird, how about +15v for my roland sh-1!

Nice to know, about the dual spitting of midi and cv/gate. As you say, can be useful.

i just received this second hand on ebay but i notice it does not have the manual. I tried looking on here for it and on mfb's website but i cant find it, does anyone know where i can locate one?

Have you had a chance to read through the manual and see how this machine works? I am very interested in how it works with older analog gear, as I have an ARP Solus, otherwise I will have to live in the MIDI world and get a Moog LP.

i did eventually come across a manual and after having it hooked up to my moog lp, i found it very cumbersome and not as quick and easy as i wanted it to be so i ended up using my mpc as a seq for my moog lp, sorry i cant be of any more help to you
