No clue. But that's a h**l of a synth! Too bad Yamaha never followed up on the AWM/FM synthesis, using samples instead of sine waves. The wonderful news is... the Nord Wave is based entirely upon this idea... with knobs!

Into The Unknown Region by Torch Song

I'm pretty sure William Orbit used a Sy77 or Sy99 on this album, but I have no idea what sounds specifically. I guess I will once I buy my SY99.

the only CD/LPs i know of are those by british electronic duo "SND"http://www.discogs.com/artist/Snd . not exactly sy77 but a LOT of tg77 (900%) .http://www.discogs.com/artist/Snd

Monolake (the guys from Ableton) use both a TG77 and an SY77. Check out http://www.monolake.de/studio/ .

Hi everyone, Stephane Picq used it a lot in the ost of the sega mega cd game " Dune ". I don't know if it is popular out there but that's a great peace of music. The exactly title is " Dune Spice Opera.

"Beneath the Mask" by Chick Corea and the Electrik band album, featuring a lot of Yamaha SY99 sounds. you can also listen to many SY77 songs here.

wow... nobody mentioned Switched-On Bach 2000 by Wendy Carlos??? talk about a historically significant album using the SY77.

The Cumshot band use it exclusively. They use many keyboards which is very strange and rare in a metal band. Take a look at some of their songs here :

Severed Heads' Cuisine album features a lot of SY77, and Tom Ellard said he did the initial sequencing with its sequencer.
