Jupiter 4 Issues

Post by rdemon » Sun Jul 29, 2007 8:26 am

I recently installed a Kenton Midi into my Jup 4 and noticed some funny behavior. As I open the filter, the oscillator freq changes. Is this some common behavior with a J4 or do you think I should get it serviced.

Any recommendations for servicing?

Jupiter 4 kit..

Post by mavertron » Sun Jul 29, 2007 12:54 pm

That's not something that's ever happened to me on my Jupiter 4, if its started since you installed the kit, maybe it needs a service, maybe email kenton and find out if it is a possible side effect, or fault with the installation.

I emailed Kenton recently to ask about this kit, and they said it would not effect operation of the Jupiter 4 in any way, so i guess its time for a service.

I just had mine serviced and its great, tuning is spot on, chorus fixed, its a a TRULY GREAT synth, Why these dont go for a lot more is beyond me.

On a side note, how is the Midi kit ? (apart from your issue) Im pulling the trigger on one myself and its a lot of cash to do so, but it would be great to be able to sequence it.

Cheers,

Mavertron.
I shouldnt be here. I should be writing music.
