Sound module/Sampler?

Post by casonova197 » Wed Aug 01, 2007 6:40 am

Ive been lookin at a Juno-D and Motif as last resorts. I need a sound module that has ofcourse synth pads and such. But also actual real instruments that sound good, and on the cheap. And im thinkin the jv series or a yamaha tg, or d110. But out of these I prolly cant import some patches of my own say some home brewed soundfonts with real samples. Any suggestions on the path I should just take here.

I vote for the JV/XV line for actual instruments sound, those also have great synth pads. Look for the XV-2020 which sometime being sold for cheap. but look also for the Alesis Fusion which can load soundfonts using the converter. it also have good potential for real instrument and synth pads.

Alesis Fusion is a definitive option. You get a ROMpler engine (sampled real instruments), a full VA (virtual analog) engine from the Ion, a full FM engine (think Yamaha DX7) and a sampler/sequencer, all in one. Otherwise the Yamaha Motif series are hugely successful sample-based synths, where you also have filters and effects of all kinds.
