The Prophet '08 is the one that'll be the instant classic.

Now where's that 'thumbs up' icon?

Both Ski and DocT have sound clips - maybe they'll be kind enough to post a few...

I should cross-post this comment here since this is where the big news was dropped:

You know, I actually am already re-thinking the idea to trade-over for
the P'08. I kind of like the delay lines and the digital oscillators
on the Evolver. I mean, if it's the same voice architecture minus the
digital stuff, I already have a P'08+, no?

Not really. It does use the same CEM chips as the Evo stuff, but they sound different because Dave tweaked them differently, and the system isn't the same without the digital stuff in the signal path.

I think you'll be surprised. I sure was...

Interesting. When should we expect a price point?

Sorry... ;)

I don't have any good ones, and I believe we're waiting on the production models to take a formal one. We've all been working on hand built prototypes. I think I'm the only one who has one that has the knobs with the silver caps.... :D

As far as the price point goes..$2199 MSRP, $1999 MAP.

jesus harold christ my friend picked the wrong time to sell his P10.

is the same kind of delay experienced from the keyboard of the MEK present in this new P'08? i love the sound and concept of the Evolver line but i could sense the note delay when i played one and it bothered me.

of course it could just be the fact i've spent too much time with my Mini and my Hammond lately, and the feel of something like that was alien to me.

Huh? First I've heard of that....I've never noticed any note delay on mine.

I forgot to mention - that's for the regular edition. The special edition with the red light-up wheels, 30th anniversary Prophet plaque and Dave's signature (each unit hand signed) will be a bit more....
