+ the key feel must be pretty sweet to make your other synths play more expressive -)

Apologies for the spam but if anyone wants my very-good-condition Prophet '08, $1600 gets it shipped to your doorstep in the continental US. Original box, power supply and a copy of the manual are included.

Desperate for room and could use the money right now.

BTW - I like it fine but its the lowest man on the "synth totem pole" at Rusty Insects right now.

Also, a heavily modded Arp Axxe and E-mu Xtreme Lead-1 are in the offing as well.

PM or email me: carbon111(at)verizon.net
Best Regards, James

The P'08 is now sold.

Thanks to all who played, there will be concession prizes on your way out.

BTW, not to worry, this won't be my last DSI piece ;)

i've been waiting a chance to play it since it came out. it's not on sale locally and a month ago most of the stores with keys in paris hadn't even heard about it.

Not at all! Its a great-sounding analog polysynth. 8)

The upshot is I've got room for a maximum of five keyboards, right now I've got twelve.

Also, my wife (rightly) wants the "overflow" moved out of the upstairs bedroom and into the studio where it belongs but there's no room.

I'm hoping Dave will release a P'08 rack down the road. I'm in no hurry though, I've got lots of synths...I consider myself very lucky.

I’m looking for 3 to 5 Prophet ’08 owners who want to be beta testers for an editor/librarian. You will be requested to test the code and help me find problems so I can fix them before release. I’ve been running the code for about a month and it’s very stable. However, you must except the fact that problems may come up from time to time. This is why I need it beta tested.

The software will most probably be release as shareware when I’m convinced 95% of any bugs found are fixed.

Anyone interested please post here OR contact me at [email protected]

A computer editor for a knobby, analogue synth? Is it really needed or is it the sign of times when every synth has to do something with computers?

I reckon we'll see the rack P'08 sooner rather than later. Maybe next week?

Not if it's just an announcement that they'll be (or even just might be) developing something in the future. I was under the impression that the P'08 has been very well received in general, so it's not too great a stretch to imagine they could raise the issue of a rackmount version.

But then, we'll see soon enough.
