This is the inside of an earlier ARP 2600 for anyone interested (not mine) Note the encapsulated modules:

Nice. The way the circuit paths are curvy is kinda cool. Someday I want to hear a jam with with an Atari 2600 and an Arp 2600.
2600 vs. 2600. That would be awesome.

I've seen other pictures over the years, but these are by far the clearest. Thanks for sharing this, Heath.

Are those incapsulated modules filters? At least the ones that have 40xx seem like they might filters, but that seems like a lot of them and difrent ones too. Very clean inside, I'll take it, your giving it away too right?

They're not only filters. The 4012 is a filter, the 4027 is an oscillator module (hint: there's three of them).

You can just google the rest.

Thanks for posting those pics, Heath!

I'd read about certain components being encased in resin blocks (making servicing the components difficult/impossible) in the Peter Forrest books - it's nice to be able to see what they look like finally.

That's the coolest circuitry I've seen - looks 'organic'!
I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.

if you want a look inside a 2600 without encapsulted modules - well, except for the moog filter, here are some clear shots:
