A mate one had an OBXa (ex Cliff Richard apparently  ) and they're pretty straight forward although the page two stuff on the '8' is something I haven't tried. I really liked the envelope response the rates just seemed more natural than most other analogues I've had my mitts on.
Don't know much Prince stuff but you just have to have a go at those Van Halen 'Jump' chords. :P

Start playing "1999" :P. I'd kill to have an Oberheim. If it's at the right price and condition I say go for it. As for as the souds you want. For stabs you'll want short attack and release I know. Just play with it, I'm 99.99% positive that Prince used an Oberheim. If all else fails send it to me for use in my Van Halen covers. :)

I pray you have bought this?? have my prayers been answered?
As for Brass stabs, I have heard since the Tory onslaught in the 80-90's that there are more than a few colliery brass bands that would or could provide a vicious brass stab to anyone that cared ask.
...and ah just thought, cuntin well hit it!
GOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

He's probably having too much fun with the OB-8 to have time to post back here. 8)
Two VCO: thanks to the push rods, one can choose several forms of waves at the same time!
