A Bass Station Question.
Sorry to make a whole thread for this, but....
Does the Novation Bass Station have real VCOs or modeling? I is kind of hard to tell by the online descriptions sometimes. Especially VSE's.
thanks.

This comes up for debate all the time. The Novation Bass Stations use digitally-controlled analog oscillators.

kayvon, let me answer your PM here if I may so it's on the record.
Actually, and I don't know if these comments come up in a search like my former comments, but I completely revised my impressions of the Bass Station when I got my second unit.
I am torn between selling the one I have, but I'm not the kind of person who likes to amass a whole bunch of gear. Why else would I sell a beautiful P6, Evolver, and Bass Station.
Anyway, the envelopes, at least on the regular BS, are fine. In fact, I wonder if my first unit was faulty because the second unit was/is the s**t. I love the sound of that machine and the envelopes are lively and snappy. Their range is quite fine and, indeed, the ENTIRE Bass Station package is QUITE musical. It's a really nice, low-cost, analog mono-synth with a lot of character.

I would opt for the rack for that price, and sometime the SBS is also being sold around that.Tyler2000 wrote:About $250 to $300 from what I've seen in my brief lookings.
