Which Synth quandry

As I stated in the "Where's Blofeld" thread I am after a new synth....

ok, I am planning to buy/order a new synth this weekend and may just purchase a blofeld later in the new year.

I have £600 ish to spend

I really want a waldorf as I love the freakyness of them but as you know alot of the models are hard to find unless you risk ebay.
A Q rack would be perfect as I want a synth with a step sequencer but this is not possible because of the above point. ok so my quandry is:........

Micro Q + Future Retro Mobius or Korg Radias?

radias + points: availability, built in sequencer, good filters (apparently) more knobs to tweak
Q/Mobius + points: awesome waldorf sound, option for mobius to control my other synths aswel.

What shall I do?

advice will be very much appreciated cheers.

(obviously if you can think of any other readily available synth to add to my dilemma pleas suggest)

Thanks for pointing this thread in the right direction mods, ta

Maybe I should mention what I do and what already have?

Synth wise I have a yamaha CS1x, a MicroKorg and my favourite.... a waldorf pulse!
I have various drum machines, grooveboxes, effects stuff, curcuit bent stuff + junk etc etc.
I don't use any software at all strictly hardware.

I basically want a capable synth with a lot of character and longevity like my pulse but more up to date and polyphonic obviously.

Maybe this should have been posted into an Introduce Yourself thread? haha

A lot of synths have character, longevity and are polyphonic. Could you be more specific, like, what do you want your synth to do that your pulse and MicroKorg can't? What kind of music do you make? Etc...

If you just want me to belch out a synth....then I would say just get a
Virus.

Welcome to VSE, btw.

Hello

Yeah, I should have stated that but didn't want to write an essay and bore you.

I record Electronic music, very glitchy and weird stuff but also quite melodic with acoustic elements too i.e piano, guitars, brass and strings.

I like my microkorg but when programmed deeply it looses polyphony quickly and I feel I just want a bit of a change from the way it works.
My CS1x is awesome but I can never be bothered to delve right in as its a pain but is great as a controller.
The pulse is amazing but only monophonic and a little limited effect wise...
so I want a synth, not to replace but to compliment my setup with the scope to create unworldly freakish sounds!

A virus sounds great, but the price is little high for me as other commitments take up alot of money, so I feel a medium priced synth/rack is the thing for me.

thanks for the quick reply.
