Waldorf Microwave XT - wood sides?

Post by xpander » Mon Nov 26, 2007 12:13 am

a googling of the Microwave XT pulls up a rumor of once available wooden sides for the XT, maybe like the minimoog RME has. this is a fantastic idea... is anybody selling these, or do i need to prod the synthwood people to make 'em?

 those are my old ones. meant to take those off before i sent it to whoever i sent it to. that is actually 4 pieces of wood. rather emabarassed now, as those were templates for the good endcheeks i never made

you like my choice of screws too, right?

almost tempted to ask you to send them back so i can make some that dont suck.

well, the ones on there now, were just to see how it would look with cedar wood and mahonany stain, as well as finding the design that fit. the wood is all patched together and pretty poorly cut.

after that, i never played with the xt much, so i dumped it off at the first opportunity, and unfortunately never got rid of the shitty endcheeks.

anyhow, if anybody could convince dan to send me the s**t ones, i wouldnt mind making some reasonable ones. thinking about slapping some on the v synth...

not a big deal, just kind of like when an ex digs out some high school poetry you wrote her and reads it to her friends.

as much as a i blow hard about wood work around here, then i have something that half assed floating around. like i said, if you want, i can make some good ones, though it isnt a big deal.

Hello all,

Here's my XT:

Extra points if you can name the keyboard synth in the top right corner (probably impossible, so don't try too hard!) ;)
