Should I trade microwave xt for S.E SE1?

What a tough decision I love this orange baby but I really want some analog filter in my setup.
I wish I could afford them both but no tengo dinero

I know they totally different but still I need an advice

NO NO NO! I think you'll regret it down the road.
Your going from a 10voice synth to a mono synth.
I love the sound of the Studio Electronics stuff but the XT also has it's own sweet unique sound.

My advice is if you work and go out to lunch everyday, make your lunch and brown bag it 3-4 times a week instead of going out and buying your lunch. Take the money you save and put it in a cookie jar and then look on ebay for a used ATC-X.

I have nord lead2x and nord micro modular so polyphony is less important for me.
I love the microwave and think it adds something very special every time I use it but in the digital world don't you think that it possible to get those digital wavetable sounds with vst and some processing?
of course it has 44 knobs which are great but the SE1 got the low end which I can't get right now from the nords and the vst and as a bonus I can use the SE1 as an analog filter.....so hard decision

in vst, kubik is similiar to the XT for wavetable sounds.
but it's not as much fun to program as the microwave

true, but might not be as big/good sounding as the XT. I like the audio quality and sound character of that synth so much. specially the filter, a digital at it's best. Since you like filter processing, low end and warmth, as far as the digital synth goes, I like the XT for that. May be it's better to keep the XT and sell the lead 2x which sounds more digital to me. Seems like it's a better SE-1 replacement.

had the xt meself and miss it like mad. some synths just add more to your setup. dunno about the se-1 tho, but seems much more limited.
