Nord G2 as a stand-alone midi sequencer?

Post by cuinjune » Tue Feb 19, 2008 3:25 pm

Hi I'm a potential buyer of nord G2 and I have a question.
Is it possible to use G2 as a stand alone hardware midi sequencer?
I know i can build a sequencer patch with the software editor.
But after building an empty sequencer patch, is it possible to input/record notes without using the software editor?
the reason i'm asking this question is because I want to avoid using a computer when I'm composing.
Of course I should use a computer when making a patch, but I feel the software kind of disturbs my music production as well as in live use.
Sorry for my bad english, is there anyone who use G2 as a stand-alone hardware sequencer? I have a Elektron MachineDrum and I hope G2 can sequence MD and also itself without using the SOFTWARE. Please help!!
