I'm trying to figure out what synth was used in Every Rose Has It's Thorn:
It looks like it might be a D-50, but I can't tell for certain--I think he has something on top of it.
Anyone know for sure? I love the patch he used.
It can be seen around 1:36 and again at 1:44.

It's definitely a D-50 in the video - you can see the 'D-50' logo at 1:44, as the camera pans away. The cartridge slot on left side (viewer's right) is a further clue.

Yeah, that's how I figured it out too. It took a while though, since the logo is hard to read, and part of the panel is obscured (Having owned one, I know what they look like). Plus in all the years I've listened to the song, I always thought it was an analog synth that was used.
I need to program that patch now.

Such a good song. I've always wondered what synth they used and now I know. Thanks for asking.

I see the drummer a lot at the local starbucks....always with a stripper or two.
