I always wanted one of these!I remember seeing them at the time,but have never actually used one.
I had the Sinclair ZX81 and then the Spectrum,to which I added a Cheetah SpecDrum using the printer port.It had some drum samples and at the time sounded revolutionary to me!I played it along with my Jen SX1000.

I have one of these. They are quite nice - sound like a sort of cross between a 606 and an 808.

I'm sure I saw a magazine ad in some early 80s musician's magazine featuring session great Bernard "Pretty" Purdie shilling for MPC electronic percussion. Whether he actually used their gear for more than five minutes is another question.

LFO, the Sheffield group, early Warp signees, used one of these a lot. Nice sounds, but nothing you couldn't do with Waldorf Attack.
