Which one to choose? I own a M1000 but I like the 6R display and I'll add one to my setup! Are there any differences (oscillators, cem etc)?
Thank you

There's a little bit of a difference in the VCOs. Not enough so that most people will notice.
The big difference, other then memory is in MIDI implementation. They can both play notes and respond to controllers just fine, but the sysex on the M1000, except for not storing patch names, is more completely specified and works a lot better.
And to answer another question, which might be asked: I've never heard that there is any difference at all between the black-face and white-face M1000s.

Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!

In addition, the Matrix 1000 has a single mono output and the 6R has stereo output. I believe the 6R allows for seperate outputs when in split mode.
I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.

M6 or M1000
I have owned both over the last few years. I prefer the M1000. I liked many of the presets and it was easier to deal with. The M1000 took up slightly less space in a rack and it was much more convenient. My opinion would be to buy the M1000.

The transformer can come loose and hum -- not electrically, but accoustically. You can hear it in a quiet room. It can be fixed by securing it with a bit of RTV. Mine hums a bit, but I haven't yet bothered with it.Yoozer wrote:But there was something with hum and a fix for that, if I recall correctly.
