Vermona DRM1 MKIII - Let's chat!

Post by Electrocomp-101 » Wed Apr 16, 2008 9:19 pm

Hi Everyone,

So I am happy to report I ordered a Vermona DRM1 MKIII from Schneiders Buero in Berlin (where I live). It will arrive in about 7-10 days.

Does anyone here have one?

There really aren't too many good audio/video demos online for the DRM. Ill be sure to make one when I get it. I've played with an MKII a few times and each time I thought wow I need this.

So what's up? Chat me about the DRMs... post some NEW audio or video demos!!

I hear a lot of people selling / buying the DRM1. Im not going into it blind... Im looking for old old analog sound. When I produce new style music its all in the box: sidechaining, effectrix, beat repeat, nitro, shuffle... But certain songs I do really need a real analog drum machine and real analog synths.

On a side note I just put up a video of me hitting some keys on my Roland SH3:

DRM1 MKIII owner here. If your name is any indication of the type of music you are doing, then you made a good decision going with the DRM1. I've posted a couple demos that feature the DRM1. Gimme a moment and I'll post some links in this same reply.

.........Bah! I no longer have the files. I'll have to record new demos, unless I still have them on my other computer. It will have to wait till this weekend, in the meantime any requests on what kind of a demo you are looking for?

I regret not being the one who bought it :x That's all I really want from any of these drum machines anyway(Booming kick). Other than that I'm cool with samples.

What's wrong with buying a new one guys? They're $300 shipped, looking at the BigCityMusic and AnalogueHaven auctions. The Mbase is easily worth that. Actually, I think it's a awesome value for what you get.

I have MK2 and analog sound? YES! Old analog sound? Not quite, IMO.
In my ears this beast sounds very futuristic, nowhere near to, well, 606/808/909. Which I am cool with. I can coach every kind of weird sounds outta this.
Actually I'd like to have few more drum- and multi-channels in this!

Great machine.

Hi "Suburban Bather" (cool name!). Yeah if you don't mind post up some demos of the machine dry, no external effects or synths - running some patterns. I will add some demos to when mine arrives! Thanks.
