i have the opportunity to swap my jupiter-6 for a fully functional 6-voice Oberheim Obxa.
Is this a deal i should do? looks like the oberheims fetch a bit more money on the bay but that doesnt really interest me. i m about to give away my "workpony".. the jupiter is really versatile and sounds great.
plus it has midi which the obie has not. (how much is a midi kit for it? does it have cv/gate?)
i have a matrix6 and love the sound of it. i m really curious about the obxa. please help me to decide between the two.
thanks!
should i do this?

This thread may get deleted/locked, but I really have to say I think it's time for some sort of trade guide sticky, just like the buying guide sticky.
Anyways, the most important thing is what suits you best. Listen to as many demos as you can and compare it with the Jupiter 6. Also compare other aspects between the two like features not found on one or the other. (like midi on the JP6)
Not sure about midi on an obxa. Check g.. oh nevermind.
