Synth spotting: The Who Rock Honors on VH1

Post by redchapterjubilee » Mon Jul 21, 2008 4:28 pm

I finally got around to watching The Who tribute on VH1 Rock Honors this weekend and was pleased to see a bit of vintage synth action. The dude playing keys for the Foo Fighters played the synth melody of "Bargain" on a Mark III ARP Odyssey (which I thought was a 3-octave Virus keyboard until I saw the closeups). Then Stephen Drozd played a Roland RS-09 during the Flaming Lips trip through a Tommy medley. I think the bass player had a Novation K-Station too.

I believe that Rabbit (The Who) was using a PC3 (maybe PC2) I didn't take the closest look. I know that Pete has an endorsement deal with Kurz and on the last tour they used 2 K26xxs one on top of each B3.
