No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

When is the new Rhodes coming out or did I miss the release?

They said once (musikmesse 2008 in Frankfurt) november - december 2008 in the USA, and january - february for Europe and the rest of the world.

But the last update and message from the CEO of Rhodes Piano is from january 08. Since then, no update, no information...NOTHING.

So, either they are working very hard to bring that Mk7 for december 08, or all the people that payed 1/3 of the price where fu**ed up very hard.
It is much easier to be a good equipment purchaser than to be a great musician.

Perhaps in America...In Europe, you must be a very lucky man to find a Rhodes in good shape for a price under 2000$

The prices are totally crazy here. #-o

Then again, what is $2000 these days? 50 Euros?

You're right Sexor...the dollar is crazy !

But today, the conversion is about : 1Euro = 1.50 $ = 1.63 frs (switzerland)

I'm talking about prices around 1'500 Euros for a Rhodes Piano in good shape. And in america you can find very good one on Craigslist for a few hundred dollars....

And mostly it's "pick up only, no shipping"

The situation is allmost the same for the Hammond Organs. We only have a big advantage on italian synths and cheeze machines...you can find them allmost for free in Europe.

Hahaha so true! A guy I know just picked up a SIEL Orchestra for 4 Euros! Cheeze heaven

Here in Holland I've seen nice Rhodes pianos go for around 1200-1400 and all the way up to 2000 euros which is just crazy. Even beat up ones with broken tines can go for up to 5-600 which is absolutely absurd.

so sad... they sell for really cheap around here. i finally picked up my 88 today! i can see why these don't make it to Europe that much, i got the "suitcase" 88 with amp like Thom is playing and it weighs a ton. massive too, i had to borrow a friend's SUV.
