Based on how much I like my XS, I'd potentially be interested in a FR analogue drum machine.

Now that is just silly.
Who would want a step sequencer with only 15 steps?!?

Just kidding. :D
I think VSE cuts off pictures if they are over a certain size. It has done it to me before.
Nice photoshop though.

EDIT: see? simply be replying I've lost another step. We're down to 14.

even if the new version is annoyingly similar, switch to the subsilver2 layout and it at least still solves the picture cutoff.

last thing i need is another drum machine, but if FR made one... i'd wind up getting one.

If you want a 777 part 2, look to the XS.
ew, no way. they share some similarities, but not enough for me to think of the XS as a 777 replacement. for the record, i wasn't really holding out much hope at all that the product would be a 777 revisit. just wishful thinking on my part.

I would spend $1200-1500 on a FR drum machine without blinking once. I DON'T think it's gonna happen though sadly...

I think everyone's bet is a bad a*s CV sequencer made for the XS.

a sequencer is fine, but i want something that makes music (not just arranges it).

Split the transport part off to a Novation Remote and the rest is basically a monome. Trying to cram everything in a single box isn't useful ;).

The fact that it's standalone is appealing to me, plus the Electribe sequencing is awesome. I don't understand how it's trying to combine anything but a sequencer, and I would totally be all over that if it came out.

Looking back to the 70's, that Korg shop reminded me of this!

agreed. heck, they could even shrink it a bit more and toss the arp to save some money and real estate:

They could shrink it, but the more lights the better.
