Remix magazine a few months/year ago had a huge list of the gear they were using on their last record.
"All we used was the explosion and the orchestra hit. The Fairlight was a $100,000 waste of space."

Does anyone know what synth they used on Block Rockin Beats? I was thinking it was an Arp 2600, but have no idea.

I'm curious about the track 'sunshine underground'. I'm only speculating, but a lot of the sounds in that make me think of Mono/poly. I dont suppose anyone knows?

if that blog's true then it's great to see them using those pieces on stage.
when i'd seen them (years ago) they just mixed live off ADATs...and even that sounded great

I know for sure they use the 2600 for the wailing siren sound on Setting Sun, but the 2600 is probably all over the entire Dig Your Own Hole album.

Check under Studio Equipment button on the left. Good luck aquiring what all they've got. I doubt thats all of it either, and how much they use them beats me, but its from their web site. Noteworthy: The big one in middle I think is a Roland System 700 modular? Some Synthies, the ARP on top, CewJman, Doepher, Plan b, Future retro etc. etc...

for years the lumping of the chemical brothers into the bigbeat category totally turned me off to them cause i didnt really like what id come to know as bigbeat. more recently, i gave them another shot and couldnt believe what id been missing out on all that time - they really do some great synth work. id recommend buying their last album. the remix mag articles really good though i heard they since got rid of their andromeda since.
