Oslo synth meeting 2008

Hi folks!

Went to my first synth meeting yesterday and I had a blast. There was a quite overwhelming amount of synthesizers considering Oslo is a very small capital in a very small Norway.
Thomas Bloch demonstrated the ultra rare Ondes Martenot (never thought I would hear one of these IRL), there was a synth contest with nice synth prizes (a minimug, and "Presets are for the weak" t-shirts), demonstration of alternative controllers (midi guitars/basses/stickguitar) and even a synth-jam evolving out of a synthesizer.com Moog modular sequencer clone sequence (puh!)

Many thanks to Terje Winther & Co for arranging this wonderful event (check out his berlin-school style music project: http://www.wintherstormer.no, gut scheisse!).

oh I am THERE next year!!! seems every modular synth in entire Norway was there!! is this a private event?
so, did you get to try out the modulars and all? did you bring your jupiter?

Actually I didn't play with the modular synths that much. Mostly because I don't know where to start and because I'm quite terrified by the look of all those cables and modules haha! I did spend a lot of time in the "Korg corner". SQ10 controlling the MS10 and the MS20. Great fun.

I didn't bring my jupiter because of the size and weight but I did manage to drag my CS15 along.

I was there and had a great time playing around with the synths and modulars...I will bring my own stuff with me next year for shure...
