Hammond 44
This looks fun... like a cross between a melodica and a Yamaha synth with breath controller (well, without any synth controls
). I guess it is a melodica with a 1/4" out...

And it comes with a manly belt to whip people that don't like your playing.
Looking at the pictures I thought "Keyboard Kenny G."

Hohner's made them for years, calling them melodicas.Bitexion wrote:Keyboard harmonica no less..never heard of anything like it.
I saw a guy use one back around 1970 with a pickup on it plugged into a Marshall amp
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Yep, an electric piano melodica. It looks like it's larger than the one Hohner makes. I wonder if Hammond-Suzuki might start making accordions and concertinas in the future.JSRockit wrote:This looks fun... like a cross between a melodica and a Yamaha synth with breath controller (well, without any synth controls). Joy Division and New Order used melodicas on quite a few songs.

I totally want to be in a band with that dude, he looks like the guy who's shitfaced at a wedding and says inappropriate things to the brides niece and her dad...

Re: Hammond 44
dude. you can put a trumpet mouthpiece on it.
for other noise...i always thought it was fun in my school band days to put a sax mouthpiece on a trumpet...
so you could put a sax mouthpiece on it too.
or an oboe...bassoon...etc mouthpiece.
then run it through your geiger thing.

Re: Hammond 44
Right, and it is used all over dub raggae as well... but this is different in that it is higher quality and has the built in 1/4" out... easier to use effects boxes and what not IMHO.sentientprogram wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melodica_in_music
