The thing that bothers me about the Little Phatty...
There is one thing that always bothered me about this wonderful keyboard. Why is there no way to modulate the amplifier from the LFO like you would the filter?

Correct me if i am wrong but as far as i remember beside the modular (and here i'm still not sure on this ) no Moog synth had ever had such option ... actually very few analogues in the 80's had this option ...

the yamaha cs mono series and the korg ms20 have it...
No one cares, no one sympathizes,
so you just stay home and play synthesizers.

Yeah that was never a very popular feature. The Pro-one, P5, P10, OBX, OB-Xa, OB-8, Memorymoog, (or really any moog) has that feature. The only ones that come to the top of my head are the yamaha CS synths (including the 80), Korg PS-3xxx synths and not many more. Sh-5 and I think the 7 did too..

jupiters 6 and 8 have it. MKS80 etc. its a great feature, esp on a polyphonic.
thinkin again, it was a standard with many Rolands, rest for the smallest ones like SH9/2/101. but not so much with moog/oberheim

The Prophet '08 has it as well, thanks to the modulation matrixhfinn wrote:Yeah that was never a very popular feature. I never use it on my Pro-One. I usually route the Filter mod to the mod wheel and the LFO to the pulse width of one or both oscillator(s)

Th Korg Polysix has it also ( talking strictly about vintage gear as most Va has this feature usually... )

Couldn't you just buy a tremolo pedal? Or automate the volume in your DAW software package?

Thats what I'm thinking, just get a Boss TR-2 Tremelo and youv'e freed up any LFO's on your synth for other duties. Another good alternative is to use the tremelo in Native Instrument's Guitar Rig, all locked up to tempo, assuming your recording and not live.OriginalJambo wrote:Couldn't you just buy a tremolo pedal? Good shout.
There's also a volume CV input as well so you could buy an CP-251 or an LFO module to solve this issue as well, whilst still leaving the LP's own free for other duties.
