We already know that Charles used a DX-7 and a Roland synth on this score. Which Roland synth
could that be and what other analog synths do you think were used? hint: one of them is an ARP.


The Driller Killer (Joe Delia, early 1979):

OT: Always liked Richard Band's scores. His brother runs Full Moon Video and he did a lot of GREAT scores for all those cheesy horror films (which I love...). That Laserblast score is awesome.... but I can't even begin to guess what gear was used

I am really lost on the others, but "Never Cry Wolf" seems to feature a jupiter 8?

I'd love to know more about the synths that were used on the Nightmare On Elm Street soundtrack. That's one of my favorite soundtracks.

The first and the third movie-doesnt work.

Cry wolf seems to me like-CS-80(60) and DX-7! Also hear the Solina(or can this be the Arp string ensemble?) and ARP-2600

I have replaced the first movie now so you can have a listen. Unfortunately, the Laserblast
clip has been removed due to legal issues.

None of the synths you mentioned has been used on Never Cry Wolf.

Mark Isham did indeed use an ARP 2600 on "Never Cry Wolf"

Says Mark; "The baseline on the opening track and the sequenced parts is the Arp 2600."

However, the majority of the synth portion of the score, including about 90% of this track and the slow sweeping
lead was done on another synth, which one?

Than I believe it's Crumar orchestrator at 6-25(cry wolf video)/Also would like to know where that slow sweeping
lead from.

In Nightmare - Arp string ensemble&CS-80(2-11 ), also there are some interesting bells, where they could came from?

Nope, neither "Nightmare..." nor "Never Cry Wolf" features any of the aforementioned synths/keyboards.
