Korg S3 Drum Machine - Any info, sounds?

Inspired by this thread, I thought I'd post here unless it'd be better to continue in the other thread. I remember reading about these when they came out in the late 80's. Idea sounds like a D-50 L/A Synthesis version of a drum machine: one partial for the skin and another for the shell. I have never seen one in a store and I have only found one YouTube video, but it doesn't seem to show off its sounds.

Does anyone know more about them or have any sound examples? I should still have store pamphlet about it (along with the M1 and a matching sequencer), that I can dig up and scan. There's one on eBay with a BIN of $400 with Best Offer option. Still a bit more than I want to shell out on something without any sort of audio demo.
Off Topic
On another subject, maybe it's time for a "Drum Machine" category?

Google it and you will find some info and demos.

There was a guy that as a site only to S3 but I can't find the bookmark.
