New patches for Roland JX-8P !
Here is a little gift from me to all of you JX-8P owners. A full patchbank with original sounds created by me over a long time. They should work in the Super JX-10 too. There is a little old program included called CpJX which acts as librarian and sysex sender/receiver (works great with all windows versions). I think there are one or two nice sounds in here, and I hope you like it.

Thank you very much, it's interesting to hear what patches other people make with this great synth.
There are some good ones, the "Blade Run" Patch is very nice.

Hi D-collector,
Any chance at sending screen shots of the patches? I'm one of the few people that had never bothered getting a midi interface to download sysex. I'd love to use some of these sounds.

What do you mean screenshots? How would I do that in a hardware synth from 1984?

I thought you were using one of those "virtual" PG800's on a computer to program your JX. Figured you could capture screenshots of the parameters. Sorry.

Re: New patches for Roland JX-8P !
No need to apoligize. I programmed all the patches from the front panel as I do with all my gear. I don't use the PC for anything other than recording. I tried the DOS virtual programmer once, it works fine but I hate staring at screens and using a mouse when I can do it just as fast directly on the JX.veer chasm wrote:D-Collector wrote:What do you mean screenshots? Why don't you get yourself a cheap M-audio Uno USB-midi cable? It works great with the JX-8P and the included sysex program in my upload.
Did you use some of my patches in those clips? I didn't recognize any..
But cool use of the JX though!

Get the editor, import the sysex, look at the screen, rebuild patches. No USB MIDI interface required.veer chasm wrote: I thought you were using one of those "virtual" PG800's on a computer to program your JX. Figured you could capture screenshots of the parameters. Sorry.

Thank you D-Collector! Now, does anybody have sysex files of the original Eric Persing programmed factory presets as listed here?
