VC cards for V-Synth GT?
A quickie: Is the VC-1 (D50) card only compatible with the first gen V-Synth or can it go into the V-Synth GT? How about the XT?

The XT comes with the VC-1 and VC-2 pre-installed. Read here: http://www.roland.com/products/en/VC-2/
I'm not sure if the GT comes with them installed or not, but there is no slot on the back for them like there is for the original V:

Click on the "Functions" tab and then the "Rear" tab, and you will see that there is no slot.

As always, these planned expansions sound like a good idea and show promise, except that they never seem to go beyond their first iteration.

Because not enough people buy them...synthmax wrote:As always, these planned expansions sound like a good idea and show promise, except that they never seem to go beyond their first iteration.
Options that don't sell well get discontinued.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: VC cards for V-Synth GT?
The GT has the vocoder expansion integrated with the original V-Synth engine, so you have no need for an expansion for that.
However, you cannot reproduce a Roland D-50 with it (it isn't included and there is no card input either).
