If you check Novamusik's web site, they list them as "in stock"- so i would yes assume that they are shipping.

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
My Sweetwater rep let me know he was playing with one today.
Bastard.
They're already out of stock there, but should be back in shortly.
Sigh ...

I pulled the trigger on one and am expecting it tomorrow. Going to pair it with the Tetr4 i bought a couple weeks back for a 5-voicer. I wonder what color its going to be. I remember DSI stating they hadnt decided on the spec color.

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
I can't wait to read some Versus threads about this bad boy, once people get their hands on it. How does it compare to a Mono-Evolver keyboard? How does it compare to other 2-octave monos (MG-1? Bass Station Keyboard?)? Is it worth the extra $$ over a desktop mopho, mono-evolver, or tetra used with a MIDI controller? Many questions...

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
This just seems like a bargain for what it is. The extra is justified to my mind because of the controls, and the aftertouch. Its a full featured performance analogue monosynth with sub-oscillators giving it its own personallity, and the yellow adds to that. Its got USB, sustain pedal input, control pedal input, arpeggiator, maybe even a step sequencer? You would expect with it being cheap to be a poor mans synth but its not, they have not spared expense on features, build, control, inputs, anything. How is it even possible to do this for this price unless competitors products have huge profit margins or DSI has put a lot of work into efficient manufacturing of components. This synth is good news for poor people like me. Obviously there will be a Tetra keyboard but it will be twice the price.

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
This synth is a bargain and that price point is fantastic. DSI doesn't cease to amaze me how they are able to put out nice gear for cheap. I think the Mopho should've had a desktop Evolver like matrix to make editing quicker. This keyboard version will make it much better to tweak and it looks fantastic. The proto didn't, but they did good in this final design. I think this and the sound of the Bass Station are quite different. The BS is more acidic, but doesn't do bass that well. (I think the Mopho would work better.) Leads are good on it from what I've heard.

I think DSI really nailed it with this one!
I'd love if they made an expanded desktop tetra that looked like that but with the keyboard chopped off

Doubt it. A Prophet 08 is twice the price and is their flagship synth.Doooooooom wrote: Obviously there will be a Tetra keyboard but it will be twice the price.

That's correct.Ashe37 wrote:Doubt it. A Prophet 08 is twice the price and is their flagship synth.Doooooooom wrote: Obviously there will be a Tetra keyboard but it will be twice the price.
If anyone wanted a Tetra keyboard they could buy a Mokey and a Tetra and polychain them. It's not as if the Tetra could have a more cut down interface anyway, so no more money could be saved.

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
Here in the UK the Prophet 08 keyboard is £1500, while the Mopho Keyboard is £519. The Prophet 08 module is £1000 so therefore technically around twice the price, but the full keyboard Prophet is nearly three times as much.

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
I would expect that you'll be able to get one at some point. I know it seems like it would just be easier to get a MoKey and a Tetra but that's 5 voices and 2.5 octaves of keys AND two separate devices. I'd expect that DSI will eventually load a Tetra into a 4 octave keyboard around $1400. Same type of control surface as the MoKey. One set up of controls for all four voices.iProg wrote:I want a Tetra keyboard w/ sequencer!
