Just having a look at a poly61 recently purchased, and noticed internally
that it has 2 large PCB's added. One seems to intercept the keyboard
'matrix' output, and also another connector (probably the keyassigner
output) from the poly61 CPU board, and routes it to the second PCB
which has various ROMs, a CPU, etc onboard.
The board connects to a MIDI IN/OUT connector at the back of the
poly61 - so is obviously some kind of MIDI support but also to 8
1/4" jack sockets.
Any idea what this might be? The PCBs are titled
'Design Laboratories Ltd' and 'Keyboard Matrix Interface'. The ROM
has JPS 26/01/92.
Thanks.
what has been added to my poly61 ?

Re: what has been added to my poly61 ?
I've seen some references to a Design Labs MIDI to CV conversion,
could this be a Poly61 <> MIDI <> MIDI to CV converter in a poly61?
Very cool for 1992. Can it really be from then?
The jacks are actually stereo, so it looks like it could be L = gate, R= cv.
No manuals or anything, so setup, programming is any bodies guess?
